alternative to furan 2?

Can i use nitrofurantoin instead of nitrofurazone?
It's the same category of nitrofurans and it is used for urinary infections.
Here in italy i can't find furan 2 or any other product with nitrofurazone

I guess you'll need to try for yourself. That would be the best way to find out.

i found no difference in mechanism of bacterial inibition (both use nitrofuran reductase to generate active metabolite that block respiratory chain in bacteria).
Nitrofurantoin is more soluble in water.
I will try, hoping that this time zoas will not try to kill me with palytoxin like last time
