He most common colors, and someone fan corret me if I am wrong, are going to be green and purple. Life span according to most is kind of short. I was able to keep one for about 6 months. Some in the club I know have had success. Just ask around.
Yep, I've tried 2 different green ones, Had maybe 4 months out of one, and 6 out of the other. You might try to find an established Gonipora frag, very similar coral, but some strains are much more hardy.
The Alveopora I tried lived for about a year then just left the skeleton one day and died, for no apparent reason looked as healthy the day It died as It did when I got It. Very hard to keep long term IMO

I have an alveopora I'm going to be removing from my tank soon. As my tank declined so did this coral - half died, now is on the mend now that I'm getting my tank back in order. Polyps are extending very well. If you really want some alveopora you can have this piece (white / green / yellowish color) for $10.
Let me know when I can pick it up. I appreciate everyone's advice. I let Steve know what ya'll said about hardiness and that maybe a gonipora would be better but ya'll know how it is when you want something!!
