Am I being ripped off?

I paid $80 for a pair on sale here locally. My male is about 6 inches and the female is 3.5 to 4 inches. They get along fine, but how do know if they are "mated"?
That is well in line with the going rate here in the states, and unless you think you can breed them, a pair is a pair. ;)

The triggers will have to do the breeding. :)

I have never heard of anyone breeding these, so I was curious why the big deal with a "mated pair". The shop I bought mine from wanted to sell them together; not individually. If I end up with baby triggers I would be ecstatic.
