Am I burning my Xenia?

I just added my new 6 X 54W T5 fixture today and noticed my xenia changing already after only 2 1/2 hours. Could I be burning it? They are all still pulsing.

that's a big jump in lighting output vs. your old setup. I'd probably cut back the time for a few days or maybe run some screens.

Would it be possible to move that rock the xenia are on to a lower position in the tank?

I would have to re-aquascape the entire tank to move that rock. I also like where they are just for the fact that they cant move much from there except on to the back glass. Will this be somthing that they will adapt to? Everything else seems fine.

That's an extreme upgrade in lighting. You need to block some of the light and acclimate to the new lighting. Use layers of window screen or eggcrate. What you did is like taking an albino and sticking them in the desert without sunblock.

When I upgraded my zenia did the same.
I moved zenia lower for a couple weeks, then put them back.
When they got used to the light, man did they like it!
Pulsing so heavy and growing like a weed.
If you can't move, shade them for a bit.
Warning though, they are really going to grow!
