Am I crazy?

There so amazing!!!! Love triggers, wanting to get a blue throat pair later this year.

Did you buy these as a mated pair or trio? Or did you just buy 2 females and a male and put them together? I read that trying to make a pair can be difficult? Lots of aggression and sometimes they can kill each other?

Not sure if what I read was false? Or may be that's more specific to blue throats rather than xhatch?

If there's any tips to help form the pair would be great info?

I ordered a Male and a Female. They showed up as 2 Females. Got on the phone and they ended up putting a Male on a plane that day for me. Gave me a smoking good deal on the 3rd.

I spent a good hour on the phone with a gentleman who has 12 Cross Hatches and he was the one who talked me into keeping the Trio. So far, they are really calm and swim quietly together.

They are already eating out of my hand, so if there is a problem with 1 female, I will remove.

Now i have 4 xhatch, one 7" male, 3.5"-4" female that I am hoping will switch to male like Ted and 2 3" female. My friend took my pair from the picture since its his "Last fish " and He is always been great to me, so i sold him the pair.

Can't wait till I feed them by hand too. It will be another few days to eat and a month before I can put them main tank. 2 weeks of copper ( to prevent velvet ) then 2-3 weeks of tank transfer.
