amazing fishfood!

Any time I add any kind of plankton I turn off the recirculating pump so it doesn't get filtered out before the corals get a chance to pig out on it.

I shut off my sump pump also (now that I learned the stuff floats for a bit and my overflow likes to take most of it) but before that I never really had a problem w/ my skimmer going nuts when I used it.

I picked some up today at Petco. $9.63 with tax. These are quite a bit bigger than Cyclopeze, and my fish love those.

oh no no, it doesn't float forever...it will sink...but if I keep my pumps turned on b/c I have such a high turnover in my tank it'll get sucked down into the sump before it has a chance to sink (but i have a big section in my tank where the overflow is considering the footprint size of the hex...as long as you don't drop it in right over the overflow you shouldn't have a problem b/c your tank is quite a bit bigger than mine.

Will it float if you actually release it under water instead of just droping in the tank? Thats how I feed any dry foods to my tanks to avoid the overflow problem.

Well, just as with cyclopeze, mine are eaten by the fish before anything else has a chance. I'll have to try it when the lights go off.

Just picked up some Sweetwaters at PETCO on Powers, will see how it works tonight. Crit, one thing I noticed is my Milli really extends is polyps and the ones I got from you don't, how do yours look at home during the night?

My milli never extend with the lights on. How's the color look under your lights?

Under the actinics you see some nice green and a little pink. Under the MH, brown.

When I feed, I take a spoon and just put a little bit on the end of the spoon and put it in the water. if you've fed any of it already you'll realize how much of it is in a tiny bit and it spreads a lot. I feed just enough that the fish are preoccupied w/ some of it and the corals get some too. You also have a much bigger tank w/ more occupants than I do too so you could double or triple it even.
