American DJ power center question..

Contemplating on ordering the 100A-8 switch power center. Any one have any complaints?. It says 15amps so i figure it should be able to handle two 250 watt MHs, a return pump, two power heads, a skimmer and a heater.. Any thoughts?.

Two under my tank, two in my basement sump area and will be ordering two for my home office. No complaints.

work like a charm, even after being flooded! I accidentally flooded my shelf the other night......dont ask, the GFI tripped thankfully. I pulled the strip, let it dry plugged it back in works perfect.

It is not a surge protector.

It does have a fuse on it, but the GFI tripped first.

which, if I remember correctly, is by design. the fault interrupt on
a GFI is much quicker than fuses.

I have mine right above the sump for over a year now.. surprisingly enough, it shows no sign of corrosion at all... still works to this day.

One "complain" that I have is that the rocker switches are not snug into the case and you can move them around, but that's not a big deal

ps the amerdj one is 100amp not 15 as I recal. There are cheaper ones that are 15amp on ebay. I'd go with the 100 though.

Unless im reading something wrong. Its on a 15Amp circuit breaker. 1amp = 110Watts = to about 1650watts but they claim 1800 watt capacity. Ive read that some people have problems tripping the breaker when there not even under full load so im a little skeptic. Any opinions on this???.

i use my powercenter for everything except the lights because i was told that that was why alot of peoples were tripping.

But whats the reasoning behind that?. I dont understand why the lights would trip the breaker if its not under full load?. I would LOVE to use this power center for all my pumps and lights.
