The instructions appear to be somewhat in conflict; it suggests both that you calibrate every time you turn the unit on and that you calibrate on occasion.

Which is most correct? Should I calibrate before each measurment or once every few times?

Hi Kenargo,

Thank you for your post, It is usually best to calibrate every time you turn it on to take a reading, this ensures that you are getting a correct reading. You want to calibrate on occasion is when you are using the probe and unit continuously. Should the calcium reading start to drift while continuously monitoring, it is recommended that you recalibrate to verify the reading. This is when calibration should be done frequently.
