You can mix the water, as in the stuff for sale, most likely it will be a "little" better than tap if they keep up with filtration, test new water sources every time......but not the water in the baggie from the tanks when you get fish.

Osts water makes my skimmer foam....

I suggest finding a local water store, and going to that one for consistency.......

Or buy an RO/DO unit and make your own for pennies.....not an option for me cuz I don't have the space.

i just add more 4lb of LR...found some stuff in the rocks,they looks like spider looking,search for something that look like that and i think its call brittle stars and this other shrimp looking...this morning i notice some yellow spots on sand,anyone know whats that?

its a diatom algea bloom, its normal. Every tank goes thru it and you will have it for months to come.

Which means. Its almost Time for a CLEAN UP CREW.....

Give it some time, but soon it will be time. Like 2 weeks probably just keep doing water tests and when its all close to zero it will be ok to add some snails.

ammonia its close to 0..yellow color its 0 and light green its .25 ...when i add all the stuff into the test tube and shake it turns yellow,but them on the card it says to wait 15mins for color change and it goes to light green
Ph 8.0 , Alk normal,No2 0,No3 2.5 ... temp its like 78F.
