Amonia reading of 4???

Amonia reading of 4??
My tank has been up and running for months now and just used a brand new test kit and I am getting the following readings.


Am - 4
Ni - 0
Na - 5-10
Ph - 7.8


We used the test kit earlier today and got normal readings from other tanks. So my question, is there something that can give off a false amonia reading like that? The only thing I have changed was I started dosing B-Ionics a few weeks ago. I think I dosed wrong and stopped last week. Last time I checked my water quality was a few weeks ago.

I have several fish and all seem to be doing fine. I figured amonia lvls at that lvl would be very very lethal.

NOTHING would be living if your test kit was right. Something is wrong. What brand of test kit?

That is exactly what I thought.

Its the Aquarium Pharmasuticals test kit. Ive tried it with two different test kits, both the same brand, but two different sets of bottles of chemicals. Both come out with a reading of 4.

So what gives? I didn't even think ammonia got to 4 when a tank is cycling.
