anyone out there know if these are available? or were ever available? i know they reside in the BIOT(British Indian Ocean Territory). And those brits are very protective of the wildlife there. I know cuz' I was stationed at Diego Garcia. never did see one when i was there. Had I know how rare they were I would have tried to find one and take a pic. Here's one I found.

There is a good chance that these are a hybrid between nigripes and bicintus. They are likely rare even on the islands where they are said to be found.
I have never seen any "in the wild" pics, only pics of preserved specimens.

im on a couple of wait lists for a bicintus. did find one web site with em' for sale at $89 bucks a piece.

i actually did see a pic of the Chagos clown out there on the web of one in the wild. i should have copied that one. it was taken from the surface though. for me, it's one of those things where i wish i could go back to a place. Diego Garica(chagos islands) itself is rare, and BEAUTIFUL. if my finacee wouldn't mind, i would go back for a year as a contractor. but then she would be jealous of me living the "island life".
