The 6000 runs at 15W. It is difficult to quote amps as I would need to have a pump to hook to my RMS meter. Inductive loads like pumps have a watt rating of Amps * Volts * Power Factor = Watts. So it is not as simple an equation and I would need to know the PF. I think it would be safe to approximate .20 amps for the sake of sizing a backup power supply. The transformer is rated for 20VA which is simply Volt * Amps and is the maximum capacity of this unit.
