Amren UE bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in NJ, my electric bill each month is around 500.00, but I run my business out of my home. Over the winter I filled up my oil tanks and it cost me 900.00! That hurts at xmas time! Here in Jersey we can get our electric pro-rated so its about the same all year long, not sure if you folks can do that. Its funny, when the gas prices shot up, Exxon had the highest profits in its history, I wonder why?

If the electric bills keep getting higher, why not get solar panels? I was thinking about getting one set of them, so PG&E don't get my penny!

Not sure if you were adressing me or making a general statement but the weather on the right coast is a little diff than yours in Cali, can you see me in the dead of winter cleaning 2 feet of snow off solar panels? Nope, me neither! Sometimes we don't see the sun for a week out here!
Mike.

:D :D Check this out my business partner is putting on a solar shingle on his room addittion, looks like reg. shingles in black, devise that hooks up to your service meter & entrance panel, uses the solar energy 1st & if its proudcing more elect. than what your using your elect. meter runs backwards & amren is buying power from you.

the one I was looking at for myhouse was like 32k or so. says they pay for therselves in 10 yrs if I'm not mistaken. Thats a awfully big investment though to me! (my accents not as strong on here is it Steve? :D )

Has not got the total bid back yet, but yes very pricy, but like kpc said 10yrs & then its all profit, same thing with the geo thermal heat/cool system he is putting in. Keep in mind its a 11,000 sq ft home. So his return may come quicker with that sq foot.

Buy back will be forever as it is the cheapest way to recover energy, no labor or investment required, but if not most of the time you are using as much or more than it can create, if not they offer battery storage systems that store the power until you need it.

A solar tube instead of Metal Halides works somewhat. :)

Yeah, too bad we don't know this because someone wont post pics of his tank in high summer when the light is good.
