So it appears as though i just got bit by this as I quarantined a fish. I'm having to be ok with this because I've learned a whole lot. I've tried reading to find some answers to my lingering questions. I am having trouble so I'll ask here hoping someone can shed some light.
My next questions are :
I've soaked almost everything in bleach water. All live rock, heater, pump, etc. for about 2 days.
What about the buckets? ( I wiped those down with bleach and they are drying too)
Now everything is drying the sun right. Do you think that is plenty to kill this off?
Or, should I assemble a tank with all that equipment again and let it run for a few weeks fishless? I don't need any of that stuff in my main tank so I could turn it on and let it run.
Would that do any good?
I just don't know what to do with that 'exposed' equipment to make sure the velvet is gone other than just tossing it..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
