your family owns a coral prop in the keys..any chance your making hype for this coral so they can sell off alot of them all at once for a high price and saturate the market?

They are not for sale.....I don't advertise for my family...I am just sharing my excitement.....I will not sell these period. to anyone...I don't appreciate the accusation either.. I am very proffessional, You don't know me at all, you have no right to accuse me of that..Also if i did do that, what kind of responce would that have on my families buisness..Why would I do that...To hurt the name of some they have spent over 20 years building..Oh, I see you an auquatic care specialist at a store.....Nothing like starting some drama...
DRUMMEREEF..Dude you are always very proffesional in what you say..Thanks for all of you responces...I wish you could rube off guy above you..Thank you...Good luck in future man...

When will people just leave the poor guy alone.

Yes he has white mushrooms, and no they aren't bleached out. I can see where his frustration stems from since he has been bashed hundreds of times when all he has been trying to do is show everyone something neat. He has never to my knowledge tried to sell these white mushrooms.

So he's on the defensive now, thanks to everyone picking his nice discovery apart.

I have white ricordea y. with small pink mouths, they have been that way for over a year. So it is possible to have a healthy white coral without a doubt!

Don't worry Bitis316, I think they are nice and you should take pride in them.

Cheers.

bitis316 - Thanks for the kind words. Sorry you are under fire about this one little shroom. Crazy isn't it. But like I said, if it multiplies I'll take one. :D

I guess u havent read all the threads. Sorry i was an *** to. How about a full tank shot with these. And have they grown at all . Do they get any bigger.

I remember seeing one of your previous threads. I think this is a great discovery, and someday I would love to have one like it. Don't let anyone get you down, just enjoy your treasure.:)

I think it is bleached still.
It is not even the normal size of a mushroom.
Mushrooms have zooxanthaelle, Zooxan is not white or clear. It is surviving off dissolved nutrients in the system and some photosynthesis.

Why are the mushrooms not putting off babies under the mother ? If it were behaving like a regular mushroom then after "Months" you would see babies next to the parent shroom.

i think that its nice and i thank you for sharing. sorry that your getting flamed for something so stupid. thanks again for taking your time to share with us...

It is sad that the wannabees are so critical of those that are acomplishing. Of couse they are the ones that make it hard for everyone to further the hobby. It runs hand in hand with the people that make things out to be super difficult if not impossible- that way either they are a genius for doing something, or there was no way they could succeed. Which of course is win win for a loser. But the purveor of the white mushroom has simply said "here is this through no fault of my own- and I want to share it". He also has the cred others desire- yet wont respect.

Ah heck everyone chill out. Anyways very nice shroom. Bleached, not bleached who cares? Is it in your tank? No, so leave the guy alone.

Please continue to share your excitement. This is reality and where ever you go there will be those that only see the glass as half empty.
No attacks to anyone in particular as I have viewed the past posts of most in their profils and have only seen good, helpfull information. Jus tthink that bitis316 shouldn't take everything to heart. We all have our days. None of us are good all the time. I wish I was at least some of the time.
I found it hard to believe goda would have made this comment as if you check his past posts they have always been helpful to others, maybe just a bad day.

Thats prety sweet, I have a white yuma myself! though over the past few weeks its getting color in the tips...i wish it would just stay white.

This pic is two days old...And the babies do come off of the mother. I take them away when the get about nickel size, and place them in a seperate tank....I was not aware that this would cause such an uproar....Thanks for everything guys. Also Letmegrow....How many species of coral are white...Research that....As I said earlier..Delbeek has one now in Hawaii....I'll let him tell me whats up...Thanks..

Most people avoid white corals right ?Bitis you seem easily offened. Your reply is childish and real defensive.
You would be offended too if your credability was on the line. He was accused of doing what is dispised by the reefing community, driving up the prices. So it was not childish, just defensive.

Now about the shroom, Bitus, do you know what type it is? It's hard to tell from the pic.
