If so how is youre set up going? I just upgraded mine and Well Its intense, I want to expect some growth and since I've more than doubled (EASILY) my lighting I am expecting to keep anything with proper feeding and care ofcourse. So does anyone have this fixture??

Thanxs!

I have one on my 10gal. and I really like it. My only complaint is the noisy fans, but it doesn't really bother me. Here is a link to the spec's and a pic of my tank. HTH.

ive been running one of these fixtures for a few years, they are great for pretty much anything short of acro sps.. ive had very good polyp growth and good healthy mushrooms, even my monti has done well although i thing the color is fading slightly but my bulb is old

HOWEVER

the bulb choice is extremely limited and independant actenic and 10k switching would be nice..

make sure to replace your bulb every 6-9 month..

the fans are loud.

it does create alot of heat

the size of the bulb pretty much blocks most of the reflector so i cant imagine it would be all that effective..

the 96 watt rating is deceptive since your only getting about 48 watts of 10k and the center 10k segment is getting limited light emmision since its blocked on two side and the reflector really isnt redirecting the exposed top part of the bulb.

other then those things it is a good fixture for a softies tank at a reaonsable cost..

Great to have imput on this unit. I am stable at 80-81% , but am seriously wondering about Summer even in an air condtioned house. I'm happy with a unit that has doubled my lighting and is about $100 in cost. The best thing is frags are looking happier than the 2x24 watt bulbs I had previously.

Oh and I am curious and glad you memtioned the monti, for I have one as well, and any growth of it will make me happy. My Shrooms even after 2 days are looking better, and my zoos, and my Cane as well as my frog are flurshing.

It is a good cheap fixture that will allow you to keep a wide varity of coral. I had one on my first nano. Before you know it you will want better lighting and a bigger tank.
