It is doing great...when I have zenia trying to grow out of control I just set it next to the hammer and the zenia recedes. lol

Awesome growth there Jack!!! I am not getting any growth on my frags....need to get an overflow from a guy here. Then I will plumb the two 40's together and be good to go hopefully.

Dave...have you checked the calc. alk and mag. levels? Nitrate and phosphate could also be an issue for slow growth. They need to grow...you have a large system to fill soon.

I am pleased with the growth and have tried hard not to frag too much as I want some nice colonies.

Funny thing about the last pic...it didn't grow very well under the 250 watt but has exploded under the 150 watt. Same goes for the first pic in this post, the 150 watt XDE's seem to be about as good as it gets for 150 watters. The reflectors are really cheapo's too but is about to be corrected by The Reef Stop.

I am really stoked about these 150 watt XDE 10K's. The color is nice and the growth from the corals amazing. It will be even better when the new reflectors arrive.

jack i am running coralife pendants (150w with some no name 12k bulb) for 100.00 bucks they are kicking but the slowest growth is 1/8 inch a month

My clams are liking the 150's as well. If the LuminArc III Mini's give it much more punch I will end up taking the 250 watt out of the center section and putting in a 150. My cheapo HelloLights reflectors really blow too but for 25 bucks ea. they got me up and running and the money I saved at the time helped pay for a new shifter for the Firebird.
