Here are a couple of pictures of my Anemone/Clown tank.

That looks great. Do the clowns host in just one nem or do they spread the love around. How many nems in the tank. How big is the tank.
Nice.

The tank is a 55 gallon, So far there are the three you see in this picture plus one other small one on the other side. There are 5 clown fish in there. They host in all three. At night, 3 of them sleep in the Rose Bubble, one in the Orange Bubble, and 1 in the Green.

any thoughts on how hard it is to keep an anenome? I heard that if one dies in your tank it kills all the inhabitants.

I would like to get one, as my two clown fish are trying to live in the large hairy mushroom rock in my tank, which makes me think they need an anenome.

Thanks.

Bubble Tip Anemones are the easiest clown-hosting anemones you can get. I've had one that was a hitch-hiker that was practically dead when I got it turn completely around and thrive over a period of a few months. They are pretty simple and easy as long as you keep your tank well maintained and provide sufficient light (T5 or MH). They do not automatically kill all inhabitants if they die suddenly. However, if a large one dies, you'll get a large ammonia spike that could kill a lot of things. This can be a concern because anemones have a penchant for trying to move around in the tank and getting caught in a powerhead in the process.

I guess there is always a risk. I use 2 6045s in that tank, so I suppose they could get stuck if they get close.

I have plenty of light for that tank 2x250w and I feed them as well.

I love how big they have gotten. The one you can't see is green with pink tips. I'll try to get a picture of it.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful!

Im so happy to see that the obta held onto its spot and dident roam. even the polyps look happy!

(those polyps popped out of no where about a year after I bought that rock! )

Oh, the other concern for having large anemones is that they may go sexual. This has happened in other anemone tanks, one of which was a TOTM. I'm not exactly sure how likely it is to happen or what conditions make it more likely.

yeah, theres cases of male and female anemones sexing and there were tiny anemones in the sand a month or so later. gosh that would be sweet!
