Anemone clone won't attach. No Foot?

About 2 months ago, my anemone split into 4 because he wandered into my overflow. (you can read the thread here)

For the past 2 months, they've been recovering wonderfully. The 3 surviving clones are healthy, have sticky tentacles, and are eating tiny bits of raw shrimp twice a week. They are healthy and growing but..

There seems to be something weird about the smallest one. After the split, i noticed that he was never attached. Sometimes it would look like he was and sometimes he would fall over on his side. What's weird is that he find some way of sitting upright most of the time. Very rarely does he lie on his side. I was hoping that his foot would grow back but there's still no sign of it. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Another thing worth noting is that i noticed a laceration in his column about a month ago. Mesenterial filaments were visible through the tear but it seems to have closed up now. I'm stumped, help?

Heres a picture of him that i took in January.

I have one with the same problem. He was a ripped of piece after being sucked into the powerhead. I pulled him out fed, fed and fed him until he got good sized and he still would not foot. I decided after he got to a good size i would cut him in half to see if it might reheal / grow properly but it didnt help> Now i have two decent sized pieces that wont foot.

Hmm, that was a good idea even though it didn't work. This is weird. I'm guessing that during the split, this clone didn't get any part of the foot. There's no cells that express the genes for forming the foot i guess, so it wont regrow. How do you keep them secured? I keep building little crevices for him with rocks but he keeps coming out of it do to the flow i"m guessing. Mine seems to be healthy as can be too. Weird.

yeah I migrated mine to a floating nursery with rubble. Its funny he can stay on the bottom most of the time but when I feed him he bubbles around it and floats around the nursery like a ping pong ball
