Anemone-Clown VS. Reef Lobster

Hello,

I started an 8 gallon bio-cube one year ago as my first tank. I am planning to upgrade to a bigger one this fall. For the past year I had had a clownfish with a Rose BTA in the tank. The anemone is doing well.

I added a reef lobster back in march. About a month ago I noticed a "snipping" of one of the anemone's tentacles lying on the bottom of the tank. The clownfish sleeps in the anemone at night.
I did also catch the reef lobster out one night not far from the anemone. A relative, with the same set-up and timeline as my tank informed me that same week, that he woke up to a gruesome discovery....his clownfish was belly up and looked as though he ran into edward scissorhands. He identified his reef lobster as the culprit. I quickly surmised that the snipped tentacles were the work of my purple reef lobster. I returned the lobster to the store. However, this past week I noticed another "snipping" at the bottom of the tank. It still has the red/pink pigment on it....I do have emerald crabs in there..but would they do that? If it is the same "snipping" that I first saw one month ago...would it still be glowing with the pink pigment?
Thank you....

anemones can somtimes realease tentacles. not always a bad thing. a crustacean wouldnt really go near a healthy anemone.

I have two RBTA that are releasing tentacles. Is this good or bad and what causes it?
