Anemone/Clownfish hosting question

I have had my GBTA anemone and clown fish in the same tank together for about 6 months. The clowns just recently (about two weeks ago) decided to host the anemone. Before that they wanted nothing to do with him. Now I am noticing that they are quite rough on the anemone and his tentacles are not as long as they were and today he wouldn't eat. He doesn't look sick, he has good color and lots of tentacles but he acts like he is totally bugged by these fish. Do the anemones like the fish hosting as much as the fish do? Oh and I have also noticed the clownfish nipping at the tentacles. They are two regular finding nemo type tank bred clowns.

Sounds pretty normal to me. They should settle down a bit after a they get used to the nem. But sometimes they have been know to pester a nem to death. Give it a little while and see what happens.

Good luck

thanks :) I was getting a little unnerved about it because they are so rough. I was afraid they would kill it. They also dive bomb into him. Maybe they don't know any better because they are tank bred, lol. This is my first hosted anemone and I was just checking to find out if this was normal behavior for the clowns. The anemone usually accepts food readily and grabs at it. Today nothing.

Nems need time to digest food, most people only feed once or twice a week, while others, like me never feed direct. My nems get the leftovers from when I feed my fish.
