Anemone crab harmful?

I just got a Sebae anemone from my lfs and it had an Anemone Crab on it (which I bought along with it). I purchased with the intent of providing a host for my Maroon Clown. The saleperson said they would "share" but after two days my clown won't go near. Articles I've read indicate that this is probably because of the presence of the crab. Should I take the crab back?

I am not particularly fond of crabs. I won't have one in my tanks because of the trouble they have caused. I have never had an anemone crab though.
