anemone does not open

Hi,,
I have a carpet anemone. he was happy for about 5 days in my reef tank. But as soon as I move him into my nano cube. He does not open. The water is pretty much the same with no ammonia and no NO2. the temp is a bit too high at 80 and I am bringing it down to around 77. The nano cube only has 54W of power compact comapre to 800W metal halide in my reef tank. will it be the light? What should I do now, please help. I cannot really have him in the reef tank since I have lots of corals and don't want him to stink them. Thanks.;

A nano will be too small for a carpet anemone (except for a species such as, say, Stichodactyla tapetum ) , not to mention that they have high lighting needs. I would either find a store that will take it for credit, or even better, find another hobbyist to buy it.

If anything else is in the nano, it will likely be a goner.

But, do you know what species of carpet anemone it is?
