Anemone Farmer

not sure what you mean by "farmer", but a LFS in Minneapolis area manually divides them all the time. Quick snip down the middle and let heal.

Dr. Mac (Pacific East Aquaculture) periodically offers tank-raised green BTAs (I think they're the colonial form). I just checked the site and they don't have any right now, but you could contact them and see if they expect any.

This site also offers captive-raised rose BTAs:

I don't know if these retailers actually propogate their own anemones. You might want to check the forums on your local reef or aquarium club's website. I see cloned BTAs offered all the time on mine.

I've just started doing this. I can help guide you through your setup and procedures, but I haven't started selling to wholesalers yet (I'm probably 6 months away from this). Feel free to post here or PM me if you have any questions.

seeing as how cheap BTAs are wholesale, it doesn't make a lot of sense to do this from a business standpoint. maybe for roses, but your standard BTAs there would be no profit in it.

I supply a few LFS with GBTA & RBTA. I also know of two large scale greenhouses, one in PA and one in FL with over 300 BTAs each. What information exactly are you looking for?
