Anemone Fight

I didn't realize that putting anemones of two different species in the same tank was a bad idea until I introduced a large BTA to a 30 gallon tank that was already home to a condy. The first night, the BTA stayed put. The second night, it crawled over onto the same rock where the condy had planted itself, and the BTA stung the ends on a bunch of the condy's tentacles. (It was almost as if it did it on purpose.) I took the BTA back to my LFS. It has been over a month now, and the condy's tentacles still look damaged. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and will the tentacles ever fully heal and look good again?

Not all anemone species will fight and sting each other. I have had most host anemone touching each other without problem. However, non hosting anemones tend to be much more aggressive and will sting other anemones.

One of my BTAs moved in right next to my Mag and occationally I see a tentacle from each one stuck to the other, before retracting. Neither seems interested in moving so I hope all is well. Been told here I don't need to be concerned.
