I personally would say a 12-gallon is about as small a tank that should be used to house an anemone. And then, I would only say a flower anemone, condy or curlique. Actually, tulip majano anemones could be successfully kept in a 6 gallon, they are very hardy.
Whatever you decide on, you will want something that requires little food as the tank cannot support much of a bioload. It's much harder to keep a 6 gallon tank stable compared to a 20 gallon tank. Pico tanks like that are best left to very experienced aquarists, generally.
