Anemone gone...

My anemone had not been doing to well over the past couple of weeks (I believe he was starving). Recently I saw him drooping from his ledge so I put a net in to catch him while I was at class. When I returned I noticed he had stuck himself onto the net, I then proceeded to pry him of it. After I placed him on a rock I assumed he was close to death, but decided to give him the night. Next morning he was gone and I looked all over for him and can't find him. I think he is dying and I really don't want him to kill my other live stock, I don't know what to do.

watch water quality, try to find remains and pull, maybe wet skim a bit, do water changes...that is pretty much all you can do.

it shouldn't do much harm to the tank as long as it is matured, it could be hideing in the rocks lots of anemones will do that and come out later on.

what kind of anemone? how long has the tank been setup? what size tank? what lights do you have? what are your water parameters (numbers please). basically any info about your tank and equipment and livestock will help us determine if the anemone stands a chance.
