I'm going to be switching to salt water soon. And the fish I've become attracted to are the black clownfish. And I know they host in anemones, and I know anemones sting other corals. Is there any plants they won't sting?
The anemone won't bother plants, but be warned that anemones can be very demanding creatures, and most seasoned aquarists will recommend that you not add one to an aquarium until the system is at the very least six months broken in. Clownfish don't really need them and captive raised clowns are very likely to ignore them. Do your research before you buy!
If you are just a beginner with saltwater I would suggest to stay clear of anemones for now and give your clownfish at first a ceramic flower pot.
They readily accept them as anemone replacement (sometimes even prefer them over an actual anemone)
