Can anyone help me identify what type of anemone this is? Thank you in advance.

A picture of the base would greatly help. But I think you have a Heteractis Crispa (Sebae Anemone). The long and multiple tentacles with purple tips say so. This is a nice specimen I may add, it is hard to find a healthy one, but I think you did. Good Luck and make sure you give it lots of light.

Thanks. That's what I thought as well but wasn't sure. I'll try and get one of the base although I think he's attached to the rock. He's been in the same spot since he was put in the tank three weeks ago. My false clown hasn't taken to him and from the compatibility charts he may never. I'll just keep hoping for now.

It's great that he's attached. I wouldn't try to take a column pic if that means disturbing the anemone in any way. I'm pretty sure it's H. crispa.

LOL. Looks like malu to me. Sparse tentacles on the central oral disk and longer, more tightly packed tentacles on the perimeter.

Ok thanks. I'll let him be since he seems to be positively happy. Any recommendations on what type of clown to replace my false with in hopes of hosting?

I would just leave the ocellaris in with it. IMHO, them staying out of the anemone for now will allow it to get settled and heal from all the shipping stress. They will most likely move in at some point. It just takes some patience.
