Question. If I have a 10 gallon that I'm planning on putting corals and clowns in but in 6 months to a year am upgrading to a 38 gallon. would I be ok adding an anemone to my 10 gallon since it's only temporary?

ive kept most every type of anemone in my 12 gallon. Water quality and lighting is key. Remember some types of anemones like to move a lot. In a 10 gallon that means they can probably get to other corals before you even notice it's moving.

There are nems that stay small. You could do a BTA and they don't get too large and there are mini species as well. What is your goal? I also agree with the above posts!

Also remember with small tanks things can and will go out of whack in a hurry with water quality. You do best to consider a larger tank. Even 50% more or so would be better. There are many nano tanks available that are all included with lighting etc that would work for you. Just have to figure out what you want as the end game first.

I kept a clown and nem in a 5 gal for years, +1 on above for water quality and things can change fast, watch it close

Most clownfish species need more space than that, though, you'll have to get a small variety to keep them happy.
