Anemone in a new tank

I'm setting up a new tank for my black clowns. I already have two orange ones in my existing tank and don't want to disturb the peace by introducing the black ones into that tank.

It won't be my first nem, I have a 15" crispa in my current tank which hosts the orange clowns, I've had that for half a year now. I may be able to get my hands on a BTA that came from a split.

The tank will of course be fully cycled before anything is introduced, I have fully cured rock plus lots of live rock from my sump. Lighting and flow will be adequate. My question is will it be okay to introduce the nem into the tank after it's done its cycle even though the tank is fairly new.

ive heard u gotta wait atleast 6 months before putting in a nem and of course its tempting but its a hit or miss situation u might get away with it u might not.and if u do put it in and it doesnt look good u can always put em in ur other tank and nurse it back to health

I put a green bubble anemone and rose anemone when my tank finished cycling. They are still with me today and have grown substantially. The six month wait is probably to allow for substantial time for the aquarist too get used to the aquarium/allow all parameters too stabilize. If you are new too the hobby (which i notice you are) than it would be wise too follow this general guideline but if you know what you are doing than I would say go for it.

Oh the Hobby Exprience bit at the bottom is old, I've been in it for more than a year now which is not long compared to others but enough to know how to keep things stable.

If you the anemone i for B&W clowns, you may want to reconsider, most people saw BTA's cause B&W's to fade/lose their blackness. Just a thought.

Hmm, I thought hosting usually made a clown darker. My orange ones have gone a much deeper brownish orange since they started hosting the crispa

My black ocellaris host a bubble anemone and have not lost any color. That rule applies mostly to true perculas/onyx perculas i believe.
