anemone in sps tank

Sure , but it's hards to keep it from crawling around and stinging your corals. If you could isolate it to one part of the tank somehow, iit would be fine.

I recently tried it in my 30g, and it would never settle down with the strong current (63x). I've seen people do it, but I don't know how they do. Mine was a BTA.

sure, but you need to know how to care for the anenome first and be able to predict the needs of one......I went through a couple myself before getting to the Sebae I have.......I hasn't moved in a year and not even when I went Barebottom!!! But it is a gamble, because I have some rarer stuff getting closer and closer all of the time because I am running out of room in the tank for frags.......I found the Sebae moves less than the BTA.....

If you want to risk your SPS for an anemone go for it, but they will move around and pretty much destroy anything in their path. Not worth the risk to my corals in my opinion.

I had a RBTA set him in a good spot and he worked his way all the way to the other side of the tank, resting directly under one of my efflos destroying everything in its past. Needless to say he was short lived in my tank.

I have a beaded anenome in my tank and it has stayed in the same spot since I brought it hoe from the LFS 4 years ago. It was actually a hitchhiker and "free" with the rock I got.

Speaking as one that has lost some very nice SPS from an anemone... don't do it unless you are prepared to monitor at all times!

Best of luck :)

a little sound word of advice, you should put those seio powerheads on some algae free magnets. them suction cups will give way after some time and let loose, 'yikes' then its a flood all over your house and everything in its wake, hope this helps...:mad2: speaking from experience here! just a heads up.

Chaotic:

Yeah, everyone always complains about those cups but have never had a problem myself....Via Aquas with the smaller, harder ones are a different story. I pull my Powerheads out once a month to clean them.....the trick I found was to razor blade that area where the cups are so they have nice clean glass to stick to......but honestly since I have been using the Seios and keeping with with the maintenence....I have never had one come loose..........however, I would like the mag mounts to decrease the clutter the visual appeal benifits.....thanks......
