So as you can see this anemone is becoming a problem. So far it hasnt hurt anything near by but it will soon. It has grown very quickly and has been in this same spot long before any of these corals. Its foot is deep in the rock and Ive tried ice cubes, changing the lighting, hanging over a bucket, covering it with a funnel for two or three days and Im sure something else. Does any one have any other ideas on how to get this guy to move? All options are open for discussion so please feel free to comment with anything. (Killing it is NOT an option)

Thanks for reading,
Adam

Did you try pointing a power head at it? Outside of that all the ones you already mentioned trying are the only ways I know.

On a side note most people would kill to have a nem be that stubborn and not wanna move.

Many times. Just makes it look bigger and happier.

Wouldnt bother me a bit if the SPS and zoas hadnt encrusted so much. Obvious a poor oversight for my choices in placement.

Put a little rock on the top of it just enough to get it in the shade, it will move to the side next day or two, that point you'll see the feet. Then use a toothpick to move his feet gently.

Well it is kind of on a suspended piece. The picture doesnt show it but that anemone sits at the left center of the aquarium. Rock would just fall or get knocked off. That is why I used some rubber bands and a funnel to shade it but it never seemed to bother. Although I only left it on for max 3 days, I got worried I might be hurting it.

Just leave him be and move the corals

I just hate to break up corals that I waited so long to encrust. In the anemones world this is the best option though. I guess moving the coral would be better then losing them to an anemone sting though.

I'm finding that isolating my corals is the best option. I have two separate islands in my tank and they are separated by sand. So far the anemone has not bridged the gap between the two, so I just keep adding corals to the other side. It looks nice, imo, but i understand that may not be an option for you.
