finding nemo
In Memoriam
People with wondering anemones , take note............
Your anemone is not unhappy because he is in the back of your tank or hiding in your rockwork.
Do you think he knows he is in the back??
Do you think he knows that you are on the other side waiting for it to come out to entertain you?
I have always wonder why everyone thinks that because their anemones are not out front and center they think something is wrong somewhere.
Why do they have to be up front to be happy?
We all have rooms we enjoy, kitchen, bathroom, living room. We are'nt sick or not feeling well because we like the livingroom one day and then the next spend a few hours in the kitchen.
Your anemone does'nt care that he is in the back of your tank. He is happy there. Nothing wrong with that.
To think they are only happy when they are facing you is just silly.
Sorry. I have just read several threads this week about anemones in the back of the tank and thinking they are unhappy.
They do NOT care what you think will make them happy.
They don't care how much you spent on them and that your desire is for them to be out front for you to admire because you just spent a wad on them.
They will be where they want to be so leave them alone and just hope that some day he will come around to the front .
Please everyone, realize this is an animal, not a suction cup toy that you can place where you want it and it will stay put.
They move around and some days they want to be left alone and want to rest.
So they hide or deflate and rest.
Some days they will expand so large that you think they will bust and of course you are thrilled.
Please everyone, cool the jets when your anemone has gone into hiding and quit panicking.
99% of the time they will move out front where there is more water movement and more light.
But when they go back into hiding do'nt get all excited and upset.
It is an animal people.
Stop worrying about the poor things and let them be anemones.
Please, just sit back, enjoy your tanks and give them a rest.
Whew, I feel better getting that off my chest.
