i remember hearing and reading that we dont really know why bta's anemones "bubble" or dont. Well i just got t5's on my tank when it normally had CF's and now my anemone is starting to bubble a lot wich it never did with CF's. Maybe this is one more step to the solution?

Yep. They stay bubbled till around 5:00-7:00 than the base starts reaching up for light again and the bubble start going away. Right when the lights turn on, with the actinics is when there is no tentacle extension, just complete bubbles wich i think is pretty cool. It was definitely the light switch

mine never bubbles up under my T5s.

I may try dosing iodine (as soon as I get a test kit for iodine first.)

I've got T5's and dose Iodine - never had a bubble. I haven't heard of any scientific conclusions why BTA's bubble or not - just a lot of anecdotal thoughts.

I heard here on RC that the iodine causes zooxanthalle growth and a lot of zooxanthalle causes bubbles. Anyways, only my 2" RBTA bubbled up. All my bigger ones seemed unaffected.

ive only dosed iodine once or twice and it didnt do anything. it was the light switch from PC's to T5's. I think all anemones are different and will bubble for different reasons. My anemone when bubbled in the morning will not eat krill but once he starts to lengthen his tentacles will devour anything.

IMO, it is just getting used to the new lights. Once it feels comfortable again, the bulbs will likely go away. This would also relate to the feeding response that you see.

I have a bubbly-bubbletip. Its under t5's. No idea if that's why it's bubbly though, Its never been under another kind of light.

That would be my guess too. I upgraded lighting and something like this happened. I really don't think there is a thoroughly proven scientific reason to why they bubble though.
