Anemone on the loose

I've had my 2 anemones for about 6 months now and everything is going great. lately, one has moved and stung my favorite coral in the process. now it's living under a rock. . . is that normal?

pics to follow. I think they are maxi nems?

More information please

What type of anemones
What are your paramiters
Have you changed anything recently
What are your lights
Tank specs

I have a Condy Anemone (Condylactis gigantea). After I upgraded to a 8-bulb T5 light it went under a rock for three weeks. I thought I had lost it. One day it came back out as white as snow. But over two more weeks it changed back to its normal green color. Most anemones are hardier then we give them credit for but still good to be cautious.

Ok so my lights were out when I got home so I can't get a pic yet. Tanks is a 29g biocube hqi (150w MH bulb).

Tests I ran today are nitrates = 2, alk = 8.6dkh, cal = 420, mag = 1350, phos = .04.

The only thing I changed was I slightly moved the rock they are attached to because when fully extended the one nem was stinging a tort. I just turned it maybe 30 degrees.

Here's an old post sandy pic for id

This is the coral that it stung pretty bad, it's a miyagi tort that's encrusting weird.

Another pic, the nem to the left moved down and under the rock it's attached to.

My fist guess would be when you moved the rock the flow over the nem changed. It didn't like the new flow pattern and is looking for greener pastures. I would watch it for a while, it would most likely come out and look for a new home in the tank. Mini maxies are known to move regularly :)

Temp fluctuates between 79.7 and 80.5.

Ph fluctuates between 8.1 and 8.35

Should I drop a piece of shrimp on it and see if it eats?

I don't mind the moving so much as I mind the stinging haha. I put the cover over my vortech until he settles into a new place. I'm hoping he moves closer to the front because they both settled way in the back.

If he could also kill a few mushrooms on the way that would be great haha

My RBTA went on the move 2 weeks ago. Stung an acan colony, which is actually recovering nicely. turns out he was jealous and wanted to be the center of attention since he now resides on the upper most rock in the middle of the aquascape formation.
