anemone + overflow = sweat or?

my LTA has gotten humongous, some of its tentacles are now going over my overflow

is that bad or not?

I assume the anemone knows well enough that if its bad it'll move or something

the tentacles are bent over the glass and I can see them "flapping in the breeze" on the inside of the overflow box

just wondering if I need to intervene

Does the anemone move around the tank at all or is it settled in pretty well?

When you say LTA... are you referring to M.doreensis, or H.crispa?

How often are you feeding it? Is this a hang on overflow or is it an internal overflow box?

If its not moving around the tank, and hasnt for a lengthy period of time, I would be more inclined to leave it alone. I would quit feeding it though.

Im pretty sure its H. crispa

I havent taken any pics yet

it has been in that one place since the day I put it in the tank and that was about a month or so ago

my pink skunk clown has recently taken to hosting in it

I feed it about once/twice per week and i feed it variety of meaty stuff

thanks for responding nick

I would be worried about it getting air bubbles in the tentacles.

I suppose if it doesn't like it, it would still be able to move. Maybe shift the rocks or lower it a little bit and see it the anemone reaches up there again.

It would be a mess if it dies or gets into your sump and chopped up, I think with your sized tank it would mean wipe out.
