Anemone question

I am looking for an ID on this anemone. It is about the size of a quarter. I got it from a local reefer who bought it as a "purple sand anemone" but could not get it to attach and had a new tank. The store won't take it back.

I have been doing a lot of research and the closest match I find is Heteractis malu? If that is the case it seems to have good color but it seems they are very hard to keep.

My anemone crab has taken a real liking to it and won't let the anemone out of it's reach. Should I separate them or will the crab help the anemone to establish?

Thank you.

I agree with it being a H. Malu. The crab probably will not be good for it until it is settled into the sand bed. And yea they're kinda hard to keep.

I figured it might be judging by the pictures and yellow foot. Every site says they are very difficult to keep. Anyone have any experience with this species?

It seems to have no interest in setting it's foot. The foot actually looks curled into it's body.
