Hi,
I purchased a green BTA last week and I placed it in the tank. Everything seemed good and it promptly locomoted itself into the back of the tank. The problem is that my rock structure mostly consists of a sort of flat underwater mountain. In keeping with good reef building practice, I left plenty of room on all sides of the mounds. Well come to find out that the BTA has parked itself in a cave towards the back of the mound and as it pokes itself into the light, it is emerging to the back of the tank behind the rock pile. Besides not being able to see it, this makes the BTA difficult to feed. I'm hoping that soon the BTA will pop up above the rock pile, so it is behind and above the top of the mountain instead of below and behind the top.
In case this helps I have 120 gallon tank (4x4x2) with about 150 lbs of live rock.
Anyway, I am looking for suggestions to coax the amemone into a spot where viewing and feeding will be better. The only two ideas I had were adjusting the flow rate to coax it to move, or getting some sort of dark plastic/glass and putting it over and to one side of the amemone to convince it that it is in a dark spot and needs to move to a brighter spot. Or I could just leave it there and not feed it until it goes somewhere I like, but that seems like a bad idea for several reasons.
Thanks
