Anemone settling problems

So I just got a green bubble tip anemone like 6 days ago and within a few hours of me putting it in the tank it went under the rock I put it on I can still see the anemone b/c it is a shelf rock but it's been in the shade for a while and for the 1st 3 days it was just attached to the rock but then after the 3rd day I've noticed that it wedged it's foot inbetween the two rocks, does this mean it's going to settle there or should it move into the light and how long could that take?

I just had the same thing happen with my new BTA... he came out from under his rock after about a week.

Got a rainbow BTA cpl weeks ago and he did similar moves. I started by puting him with the cup he came in in the tank and put some rubble in the cup which it attached to, after 2 days gently took him and put him right in the middle. He attached but then my sand spitting goby mad him mad and he moved about 8" to the back right.

Now it comes out during the day and then goes back under and hangs upside down at night. I think it is still just finding a spot it likes the most. When it does come out great color and mostly bubble tips, it has eaten krill a cpl times.

side note: goby is going in the refugium =P

Sometimes the BTAs never find their ideal place. With my personal experience, some continue to move and eventually die. But usually, this doesn't happen. They need a lot of light, and they'll usually find it. If you don't have strong enough lights, they'll likely keep moving until they die. What kind of lights are you running?

If yours does move, make sure to find it as sometimes power heads will blow them all over the tank. I've had one die by getting sucked into a power head. T

Ok well now the anemone I got has moved back a little bit and stretches it's whole "body" out and sticks out maybe half of its tenticals between two rocks into the light for a few hours of the day does that mean it's acclimating to the light?
