So, I have a HUGE purple-tip anemone in my 240 gallon reef. It has gotten very large over the past year (varies from about 12-20" across). I have been waiting for it to split for quite a while and have been debating about whether to remove it and if I even could (it is so well-attached). ANYWAY, I just looking at the tank and it was a little cloudy. I walked over to see what was going on and the anemone's mouth is all puckered up (something I noticed earlier today) and it is spewing a continuous stream of milky, white, liquid. There really is a ridiculous amount coming out and I am trying to figure out just how dangerous this spawning is and any suggestions on what I should do about it, if anything...
Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! I do not need to lose this tank!
