Anemone tank only

I have been wanting to use a 29 tall for an anemone tank only. Keep as simple as possible I have good lights but would rather not have a sump or skimmer. I have a rena under tank filter would this work.

what's your preferred anemone choice? Lighting? Flow? "Will this work" will depend on your maintenance schedule as well as the above factors.

I can get a good deal on a skunk clown pair and long tentacle already hosting I have another reef tank thats doing great dont want any anemone in it. My wife wants a tank in her home office. I have an extra koralia 750 I also have a HO 4bulb T5 fixture been wanting to use.

LTA's need a deep sand bed (at least 3-4 inches) and excellent water quality. You're probably going to need a skimmer and another powerhead.

I would think with weekly 10% water changes on a tank that size, a skimmer could be skipped.

I think most of us do this size WC already even when running a skimmer.
It may or may not work out, I agree an LTA/doreensis needs very stable params and good water quality.
A BTA would be more forgiving in this area, maybe a better choice for you.

I ran a tank sumpless and it was a 29g. No matter what I did surface scum always developed and it drove me nuts! At least get a skimmer with a surface skimmer unit on it!

Here's a picture of it. I would use a container to dip into the tank to suck the surface scum off during water changes.

I added a presurface skimmer thing to my bakpak unit. That was soo much better!
