Sounds to me like foot has been damaged, it is unlike a nem to attach and let go.
They attach and move, but should not be letting go.
Watch intakes anywhere....he may get sucked up and killed by a pump...

Did you see him being removed from the previous location?

If not done correctly, foot damage can occur easily, recovery odds are unfortunately low...

Well, Got home yesterday and he was stuck in the powerhead, will not be adding another Nem to my tank in the future. The Condy is happy and hasn't moved, I hate that the Sebae had such a hard time. I was going to use the strawberry crate method last night.

They're not very hardy. Probably was in rough shape when you got it.

Sorry to hear that, you did everything possible so good job,
I get the feeling that it was damaged, likely the foot when it is detached at retail, foot damage in Nems is virtually certain death, intakes become death tunnels as you experienced.

Once nens take hold, you will be amazed at the holding power, if it was on a rock then the rock should come with the nem, other surfaces like glass takes about 15-20 minutes of careful foot massage to get it to let go.

The guy at the LFS was quick with it, He was buried in the sand, not sure if he was attaching to the bottom of the tank or not but the guy just grabbed it and bagged it. He never extended his foot like my Condy did, I placed my Condy on a rock and he is fat and happy. I figured something must be wrong, just sucks I couldn't save him.

FWIW,

I had a well established 5 year old tank with 500 watt metal halides and about 200 gallons of pristine water volume. Fellow reefer friend gave me one to "save". Didn't go well.
