Anemone

My 5 clowns finally found my Anemone yesterday after 7 months. They were so happy, that they didn't even come out for food when I was feeding the tank yesterday. Now... how do I get them to host on other corals (frogspawn, torches, hairy leather) in the tank. I have 3 anemone's, but only one is partially visible to the front of the tank. So if they keep this up... I will never see them. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

i am sure they will start coming back out with time, especially once they start getting hungry. i have heard of a few tricks to getting clowns to host something, but i dont think too many work. If you have a little flashlight (not a super bright one) you can try shining that at night on the coral you want them to try and host. I have actually tried this just to see if works and my clowns did respond to it and followed the light to a specific place, but i only tried it about 3 times so....
good luck

That is a good idea... I will give it a try.

Thank you,

How long have you had five clowns in a tank? How long have the anemones been in the tank? What kind of anemones and what kind of clowns?

Congrats on your 7 mos patience! :D

My clowns only plays in the anemones. They never was curious as to the other things in tank. You made me laugh out loud when you said your clowns are not interested in food. Reminded me of my little male. When he found his... He was having too much fun the whole day and didn't eat. Following day.. Only went out to snag one piece of food, then rushed back down to the nem. Back and forth with the darting in and out. Couple of days later. Back to eating more like a normal fish. LOL

YUP with eating again. And the light thing is funny. The clowns will follow the light. At least they do when I'm looking around at night.
