how often do i feed my sebae anemone i just got him the other day. He is maybe 2 1/2 to 3 inches across. i fed him a lil bit ago a peice of shrimp and he took it but i dont know if i should do it every day or every other day or what

How large, white or tan, pics? Target feeding a small piece of food a few times a week could be beneficial. if the anemone is bleached white, then it will need the food to compensate for the lack of zooxanthellae, which is the prime source of nutrition normally for H. crispa.

nah its a good tan color its seems happy where it is ill try n get a pic up in a little bit..its nice and sprawled out stuck on one of my rocks its pretty cool.

his foot is probly like 1 1/2 or so...and stretch outs he is probly 3 inches maybe 4

That doesn't look like a sebae anemone, Heteractis crispa, or H. malu for that matter. Could you get a larger pic to make a positive ID?

Garygb is correct. Please provide a larger picture. You anemone looks like a bleached out BTA not a sebae of any varient.

for some reason everytime i try to upload a photo it fails im guna try and figure it out n get a better picture up...appparently i dont know my anemones lol i thought it was a sebae

Yeah, that's a little better pic. Well, it's certainly not a sebae. Though it has bulbous tentacles, I'm not sure it's a bubble tentacle anemone (BTA) either. I'm not sure what species it is. You might want to re-post that pic under a new thread entitled "anemone id?"

Also, is there any chance you can get a column pic. Looks like it's attached to the rock, so probably not an option. However, that can help in making an accurate id.
