If it got too close it definatly wouldn't do it any good. I had a carpet nem touching my squamosa and the the squamosa was irritated but the nem got evicted right away.
my BTA's would irritate my clams if they touched, not outright kill the clam but if left for long enough the clam would definitely suffer and potentially could die from the stress.
