Anemones and powerhead intakes

Can someone guide me to some sort of filter that will fit over the intake of a maxijet 1200 and keep anemones from sucking in the powerhead?

I use the replacement sponges for the nanocube I got at DrsFosterandSmith, mostly because they are black. Just slit a hole in the middle and zip(cable) tie it to the intake cover.

a scrap piece of filter pad material and a rubber band or zip tie

I use the sponges, you can pick em' up pretty cheaply. If you go with them just be sure to clean em' once in awhile (I clean mine every two weeks), as they will collect poo' and can become a source for Nitrates.

My LFS builds cages out of eggcrate that they place around powerheads and intakes in their anemonae displays.
