Is there any problem keeping these too together? I have a neon toadstool and a corkscrew LTA , and since introducing the anemone the toadstool has not opened.
no problem. I had the two together for years. Leathers can sometimes close up for short periods of time. This is usually because they shed a few layers of their outer tissue from time to time. Perfectly normal and I would bet it is just a coincidence that this happened when you added your anemone.
I have a couple of leathers almost 1" across and they will occasionally close for a day or 2 to shed the waxy coating that is formed. Increased flow helps reduce this.
I have a LTA, and it was right next to my toadstool and some xenia. It didn't affect either. It was a different story when it was near some acro - the acro got stung. It's a curious thing, but the LTA and the softies got along fine.
I have a situation that my leather corals near my anemones are sometimes always waxed over. If the anemone feels feisty at that time, the leather will keep getting stung. My cabbage leathers live, but if it happens too much I move them.
