anemones help best placement

Carpets are one of the higher end nem's that like alot of light and excellent
water quality. Nem's are not the best things to start with. the system should be
established for at least 6 months before adding any nems. The carpet would
do better under the t-5 light's.

ok so i mite have 2 put him in my main tank that sucks. Well i have 96 watt power compact over my sump and a another ten gallon with the foam rock wall could i put him in ether one of them and yes that other tanks next to sump need to mature a little 2 place it back in my sump on till thats ready

i put it in my smp for now for more light and i will be putting it in the main tank tonight 8 t5s and place it down bottom should i go with flow-more or less

I think the 8 t-5's would be the best. the carpet will like to bury its foot in the sand under a piece of LR. They like a good bit of flow as well to keep detris
off of it. ultimately it will go where it wants.

I would suggest putting it in a bigger tank, as it will outgrow a 10 gallon is a very short period of time. Besides the water quality issues that come with a smaller tank.

ya ok this is my first carpet i have now read a few pages on them and he will be putting in my main tank i have clowns in ther now so i wont be able to put my other ones in there i will keep them in my 10 in my room for now until my foam rock tank is good for them thank you guys for the lookout

so do they stay in the sand or can it go any where ive read thay dont move to much

To be honest, I am not 100% sure what yours is. Thinking either a Haddoni, or an Atlantic -- which isn't a natural hosting anemone.

Haddonis do prefer to be in the sandbed, and all of mine are right at the sand/rock interface.

ok im bring this back up front because i put the carpet in my main tank the other day and it looks like its burying it self in the sand has any one herd of this if pic is need ill get

Ive had them bury their foot in the sand but never any thing above the foot.

My Haddoniis will completely retract into the sandbed if something bothers them. It is shocking how fast they can do it -- within a second or two.
