Anemones help

So I just got this magnificent anemone looked great at the LFS and put it in my aquarium the foot kinda stuck to the rock but than slumped over and now looks like this I need help, all my other anime ones look great

That nem is in serious trouble. It will likely need antibiotic treatment to survive. Also, what are your tank specs and water params?

I would put a concave smooth rock over the body and foot of that anemone to help him attached to the rock. That is a BTA. Need lower light level and not too much floe. Best of luck

I disagree on the BTA ID. I have a mag that looks very similar. Would like to see the mouth to be sure.

That anemone is not doing well,need a pic of the mouth to tell for sure what type you have.

I did not read the first line of the original post. It s likely a Magnifica if Cridtian bought it as a Magnifica.
What to do about it is the same and this anemone should be treat ASAP

I don't know I give up on the magnificent anemones. Or maybe even all anemones I have a gbta that's small but looks good and mini carpets that are doing good as well so I'm not sure what it could be.
I have a skimmer as my main source of bio remover besides 10-20% water changes ever 2 weeks. No carbon or reactors or supplements.

Read the stickie above on treatment of sick anemone. You have a sick/infected Magnifica. If you have not start on treatment for him yet, it is likely too late by now.

There is a reason magnificas and giganteas often carry EXPERT ONLY disclaimers. During initial acclimation they require pristine conditions and even so, the majority suffer from infections that prove fatal in the vast majority of cases unless antibiotic treatment is promptly given.

In the future, you should refrain from purchasing these species unless you are ready and willing to treat at the first sign of infection.

They do last if you take care of them and if you treat them with antibiotic if they are infected.
